When is the right time to pursue bodywork after trauma? This can be difficult for many to answer after experiencing trauma. Although this is a complex question due to the nature that each individual is uniquely human, the simplest answer I can provide is whenever one autonomously choses and consents to do so. It is incredibly important to me that the individuals whom I work with who have survived trauma know that their consent in our sessions is a continuous practice. With this, I strongly support feedback and initiate mindful check ins during our time together. Whether it is pressure-based, hand placement, or event the music playing, I consciously work to create an environment that encourages the unapologetic use of "no," "yes," and all of your truth in between.
